The Boulder Brass has been thrilling audiences throughout the United States for more than two decades and continues to be lauded for virtuosity and brilliance, and engaging programming.

One of the first ensembles of its kind, the Boulder Brass sprang from modest and experimental roots in 1993, starting out with a very limited library of musical works written for a brass chamber group of this size.  Thus, the members of the group set out to create their own musical world by arranging and commissioning a wide variety of music specifically for its unique instrumentation.  The Boulder Brass repertoire now comprises over 300 fresh and expertly crafted orchestrations and arrangements of great music from the past, as well as original works written specifically for the group.  Often copied but never duplicated, publications from the Boulder Brass Series are now being performed all over the world by other ensembles.

The musicians of the Boulder Brass are also keenly interested in training the next generation of musicians with educational and outreach programs.  With active careers as pedagogues as well as performers, the musicians of the Boulder Brass embrace opportunities to encourage enthusiasm and advocacy for future music-making by providing young musicians with rich, positive experiences in the form of master classes and clinics.
