Concerto in A flat
A version for Piccolo Trumpet and String Orchestra was famously recorded by Maurice Andre and the Berlin Philharmonic under Von Karajan in 1974 for the album "Four Trumpet Concertos". The first movement was dropped and the key shifted to concert A♭.
This arrangement was commissioned by Ryan Anthony and premiered by Ryan at the annual Brass Bash in Dallas with the same movements and key as the Andre recording:
