    Alborada del Gracioso from the Miroirs Suite for piano. Written by Ravel between 1904 and 1905. Miroirs contains five movements, each dedicated to a fellow member of the French avant-garde artist group, Les Apaches.

    Alborada del gracioso ("Morning Song of the Jester") was dedicated to Michel-Dimitri Calvocoressi. Michel-Dimitri Calvocoressi was a multilingual music writer and critic who promoted musicians such as Franz Liszt and Modest Mussorgsky. 

    Alborada del Gracioso is a technically challenging piece that incorporates Spanish musical themes into its complicated melodies.

    This virtuoso arrangement was created for the Summit Brass and they first performed it the 2004 International Trumpet Guild Festival in Denver, Colorado.
